I have had the awesome opportunity of teaching in an urban setting for the past four years. Teaching in this environment is EXTREMELY rewarding but can also be ESPECIALLY challenging. I, like most of you, have turned to Pinterest, TPT, and blogs for support and fresh ideas. However, I have found that the strategies, activities, and skills that may work well in some school environments are not always as successful in an inner city setting. I wanted to create Kindy in the City to share my personal experience and what has been successful in working with my awesome Kindergartners. My intention and hope is that I might help at least one of my fellow teachers!
